Hodge provide development finance to support land purchase and build of eight new homes in Hellingly, East Sussex

Working with experienced Insulated Concrete Formation (ICF) contractor, Agilitee and proven property developer, New Dimension Homes Ltd, Hodge has provided a development finance loan. The loan will support the land purchase and full construction costs of four brand new three-bedroom detached houses and four two-bedroom semi-detached houses, in Swingate Cross, Hellingly, East Sussex.

The development will provide new high quality and energy efficient family homes for the area, with a strong focus on efficiency and sustainability. The project will be completed using the cutting edge ICF construction system.

ICF consists of modular, lightweight hollow blocks that are typically made from expanded polystyrene. The interlocking forms are dry-stacked on site and reinforced with steel before concrete is poured into the cavity. Once the structural work is complete and the concrete has cured, the outcome is a strong, highly-insulated and airtight building that’s ready to finish inside and out.

This method of property development provides an efficient all-weather construction system with the insulating blocks helping to retain heat when the concrete is pumped in, meaning the concrete cure can still take place even in wet or frosty conditions.
