About Hodge

For over 50 years, we’ve shared the same simple mission: to really make a positive difference for our customers and communities. This ethos is in our DNA as we are 79% owned by a charity, the Hodge Foundation.

As Hodge continues to embark on its next chapter the Bank has already seen a large amount of growth both in terms of financial performance but importantly its colleagues. Our strategic vision is underpinned by our people and our investment in our colleagues. Our culture is what makes us special and ultimately what delivers our purpose to make a positive difference for our customers and communities.

Our aim is to open financial possibilities where options seem limited. Helping a family get a mortgage, saving for that dream or investing in or developing property. All of our customers get much more than just products: we give them simple solutions and support when they need it most.

The role

Hodge’s ambition is to become a truly customer-centric, inclusive, and diverse organisation. We’re looking for an experienced individual who understands that the key in delivering our ambition is through the attraction and retention of our people.

Acting as a strategic recruitment Talen Acquisition Senior Partner in the People Services team, you will play a crucial role in achieving our ambition through working in partnership across the business areas to develop, collaborate and support in the delivery of a recruitment strategy. Reporting directly to the Head of People Services, you will manage the end to end recruitment process while ensuring a positive candidate and onboarding experience.

As our colleagues are what makes our customers’ experience, you will support in enabling the business to attract and retain colleagues who embody our values of genuine empathy, trusted expertise and bold flexibility to always look to do the right thing for our colleagues and our customers.

What will your day look like?

Your key responsibilities as Talent Acquisition Partner will include:

  • Defining and owning the development and delivery of a recruitment strategy
  • Managing candidates and hiring managers through all aspects of the recruitment process
  • Building our presence on our website, career pages and social media in relation to recruitment
  • Championing coaching and training for managers in relation to recruitment activity
  • Maintaining strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders across the business at all levels, including senior management and colleague representative groups
  • Developing mechanisms to monitor the effectiveness of the recruitment strategy, taking ownership of reporting MI and feeding back to managers
  • Take ownership of SMCR activity, ensuring candidate experience and timely completions of SMCR vetting, applications and regulatory requests or reporting

Are you the one for us?

  • Driven by wanting to do a great job for colleagues and customers.
  • Inquisitive and like to ask if there’s a better way.
  • A strong influencer with a proven track record in successfully taking colleagues through business changes.
  • Dependable; if you say you’ll do something, you do it.
  • A strong communicator who connects well with different audiences.
  • Willing to empower and trust others to make the right decisions.
  • A good listener who can read between the lines and take on board different perspectives.
  • Committed to doing the right thing, even if it’s not an easy option.
  • Collaborative and supportive of colleagues, but willing to speak up when things are not right.
  • Empathetic and sensitive to the needs of others.
  • Relentlessly ambitious and creative in finding solutions, even when they’re hard to find.
  • Passionate and pro-active with strong commercial acumen.

If that sounds like you, we’d love you to get in touch. Submit your CV, along with a few paragraphs explaining why you think you’re right for the role.
