The Learning & Development Partner (‘L&D Partner’) is crucial for Hodge’s L&D strategy. They’ll ensure Hodge has a strong foundation for training, competency and development. The L&D Partner will create and deliver Hodge’s training materials or book external training providers. They’ll embed and maintain Hodge’s Training & Competence (‘T&C’) framework, guiding leaders and facilitating training plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the build and embedding phase of Hodge’s Training & Competence (‘T&C’) framework alongside the implementation of Hodge’s new People Platform.
  • Support the rollout of T&C maintenance across the organisation, working with Colleague Experience Leader to engage with all key stakeholders (namely line managers and coaches).
  • Develop Hodge’s library of training plans to support the skill and capability lines for all T&C aspects, ensuring we have clear pathways to competence for each.
  • Build Hodge’s L&D data capability through T&C, taking data on metrics such as quality assurance or skills gaps to produce monthly MI packs the competence position across the business.
  • Review and update mandatory learning module content as required (at least annually), to ensure that annual certification modules are always reflective of any recent regulatory or industry changes. Take support from relevant SMEs to certify that the content is accurate and up to date.
  • Manage colleague training requests, monitoring any incoming requests via the dedicated JIRA ticketing portal.
  • Support colleagues with any LMS queries, responding in order to advise on any issues with logins, module completion, etc.
  • Track L&D budget spend for external training by keeping the team’s budget tracker up to date with any new spend or requests.
  • Commence new starter induction processes for new colleagues joining Hodge, including the scheduling of business induction and day one processes with line managers.
  • Ensure content of Hodge’s business induction is kept up to date after each monthly session, particularly ensuring that the ‘Bank to Basics’ content provides all new starters with a sufficient, up-to-date summary of financial services and the core regulatory considerations.
  • Support the development and delivery of Hodge’s own training and development content, such as HR manager workshops, where we have in-house capability to design and deliver this.
  • Identify suitable external training partners for any aspects that cannot be satisfied by internal resource. Manage supplier relationships and liaise with providers to ensure we receive services in line with agreed scope.

General

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and legislative and regulatory requirements, including, but not exhaustively, those related to GDPR, Money Laundering, Health & Safety, PRA/FCA regulations, employment and other legislative requirements (as applicable).
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as and when requested by senior management.
  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Compliance & Risk regulatory and legislative information related to products/services (e.g. PRA/FCA rules, Data Protection, Money Laundering, etc.), as advised by line management.
  • Support the risk culture of the organisation by taking personal responsibility for identifying and managing risks.
