This role will provide a comprehensive service for the People Services function, being the first point of contact for all managers / team leaders, employees, and external partners across the entire employee lifecycle for all aspects of people services. Accountability for development, maintenance and change control of People Services operational processes including job cards relating to MI production, payroll, and people processes, payroll verification and process reviews for improvement.

We’re looking for:

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent or working towards
  • Previous experience in Employee relations case management
  • Previous experience in the payroll process
  • Previous experience with using HR systems
  • Good knowledge and application of Employment Law and regulation

Responsibilities:

People and Operational processes

  1. Take accountability for the development and maintenance of operational processes, including reviewing and updating job cards, process maps and systems to support a culture of continuous improvement.
  2. Ownership of all HR operational processes from end to end, across all aspects of the employee life cycle.
  3. Production, maintenance and embedding of process maps, job cards and management guides for people processes.
  4. Provide support and advice for all HR queries, being the first point of contact for colleagues and line managers.
  5. Support the other People Services Partners in employee relations case management, providing advice, coaching and support to line managers for probations, grievances and disciplinaries.
  6. Take ownership of absence management in your business areas, identifying trends and supporting managers in wellbeing meetings, disciplinaries, risk assessments, occupational health referrals and ill health capabilities.
  7. Support when needed in administration for the employee life cycle, including contracts, letters and payroll/benefits administration and reporting.
  8. Supporting in the verification process of payroll, ensuring necessary authorisations and mandates are in place for all transactions and submissions to the bureau.
  9. Provide where required reports and audit information within appropriate timescales for payroll and people services.
  10. Support in embedding the performance management framework in your business areas, coaching, and providing advice to managers in line with performance calibrations, performance reviews and performance improvement plans.
  11. Ownership of Right to Work process, including the onboarding of new starters, monitoring of Right to Work expirations, and remaining informed and compliant on updates or changes in legislation.
  12. Help drive and re-enforce the self-service operating model by educating managers and colleagues to access services in the right was thus driving a more efficient service.
  13. Develop and maintain sound knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements in relation to all aspects of HR, employment law.

Process Improvement

  1. Support the maintenance of a MI suite dashboard, providing accurate reporting and trend analysis to help understand and effectively manage turnover, absence, and recruitment trends.
  2. Continually support in the reviewing and improvement of all people processes and HR systems.

General

  1. Comply with all company policies and procedures and legislative and regulatory requirements, including, but not exhaustively, those related to GDPR, Money Laundering, Health & Safety, PRA/FCA regulations, employment, and other legislative requirements (as applicable).
  2. Undertake any other reasonable tasks as and when requested by senior management.
  3. Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Compliance & Risk regulatory and legislative information related to products/services (e.g. PRA/FCA rules, Data Protection, Money Laundering, etc.), as advised by line management.
  4. Support the risk culture of the organisation by taking personal responsibility for identifying and managing risks.
