Reporting Consultant

A pivotal role in ensuring data becomes a key part of the Hodge Fabric. The Reporting Consultant will support the implementation of the Data Strategy, and the Data and Insight department to support the data needs of the Hodge Stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and evolve the group report automation and data visualisation service.
  • Implementing best practice development and controls for our suite of automated reports and data extracts.
  • Provide expertise in using and developing SSRS data outputs and Power BI reports.
  • Understand the structure and content of the organisation’s data
  • Translate business reporting requirements into reporting specifications.
  • Design, build and deploy SSRS and Power BI reporting solutions.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.

What we need from you:

  • Educated to degree level or relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience as a SQL/SSRS developer.
  • Experience with MS BI technologies (MS Power BI/SSRS/SSIS/SSAS/SSMS)
  • Background in data report design, development & automation.
  • Experience in developing building data cubes for maximum report performance.
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience of using DAX language to manipulate data.
  • High level of proficiency in SQL, MS Excel and SSRS.
  • Knowledge of Power BI development (data modelling, DAX, publishing and deployment).
  • Analytical with the ability to understand and articulate complex situations.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident and effective communicator
  • Impartial & inquisitive with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and within a team
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working with large data sets
  • Strong MS Office skills
