Property Sales Team Leader

Salary: Competitive

This role presents an exciting opportunity for candidate with experiance managing repossession assest sales or estate agency to play a major role in leading, developing and motivating our Property Sales Team.

You will dedicate your time to coaching, performance managing and observing your team interacting with our internal and external customers in carrying out their role.  You will exploit coaching opportunities to deliver maximum colleague benefit for example after observed 1-2-1 and meetings, and after interaction with other colleagues and teams elsewhere

This role is central to Hodge fulfilling its purpose of opening up possibilities in the moments that matter and will play a key part in helping the business to become a truly stand out brand by a candidate who looks to really understand the customers, or their representatives needs and deliver for them.

Role responsibilities:

  • Ensures the team are empowered to drive continuous improvement and be the voice of our customers for Hodge.
  • Lead your team effectively through change, considering how the individuals in your team will react to this change and will need to show empathy where people may find change difficult and possess a strong ability to explain the ‘why’ we are changing, clearly linking the change to the Hodge strategic objectives.
  • Be able to supervise the activities of your team so that case load management is appropriate, and tasks are completed in accordance with internal SLA’s and external contractual expectation
  • Play an active role in the shaping and achievement of the Property Sales team, ensuring that the team are equipped to help customers negotiate key critical events associated with the sale of our security and the redemption of our charges.
  • Create accountability for your team by coaching and performance managing them to achieve clear goals using SMART objectives. Through your observations you will embed the behaviours that underpin our objectives.
  • Ensure that your team perform competently within the framework, ensuring compliance within the training and competency framework.
  • Regularly review and work with our Learning and Development Manager to ensure that your team has the skills and knowledge to handle our internal and external customers enquiries in a way that drives low effort.

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative and self-motivated individuals, especially those with a strong understand of innovation and the strive for continuous improvement.

Experience working within the house buying and conveyancing process is essential and understanding  the risks of managing vacant properties and the need to be pro-active to protect the assets value.

To be successful in this role you will need to be empathetic and curious, with an ability to translate key insights into business opportunities. Excellent management skills are crucial, and you will be a strong and concise communicator. Moreover, you will need to be proactive, flexible and willing to challenge the status quo, supporting an ambitious team in helping the business deliver its strategic objectives.
