We have an exciting opportunity supporting the Management Account Manager to manage the Management Accounting team to maximise both individual and team performance and to ensure that objectives are achieved.

You will support and help the leadership team to achieve business strategy by providing the accurate and timely financial and management information.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for assisting the Management Accounting Manager to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure all reconciliations are prepared, reviewed and actioned within a reasonable timeframe for The Carlyle Trust Limited and its subsidiaries, including Julian Hodge Bank Limited. Ensure a record of all month end reconciliations are maintained and are ready for review by management.
  • Support with the production of management accounts, with appropriate commentary, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist in ensuring that all operational reconciliations are maintained and reviewed at least monthly with an explanation for all reconciling items
  • Work closely with professional advisors to ensure tax payments and returns are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Establish, maintain and review operating policies and job cards (systems of internal control) to ensure that they are sufficiently robust to adequately safeguard the Group’s assets and where weaknesses are identifying ensure remedial action is taken in a timely manner.

What we need from you:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Ideally a Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA/CIMA or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience of a working in a Management Accountant Team
  • Previous financial services or banking environment desirable.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with ability to distil data into key messages
  • Ability to prioritise and forward plan effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Sound accounting and commercial acumen with the ability to think creatively
  • Strong numeracy skills
