The Management Accountant will ensure the accurate and timely production of financial and management information of Group entities, to the Directors, to support the achievement of the business plan and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Review month-end packs, including P&L, balance sheet and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Prepare the Board consolidated monthly management account pack.
• Support in the preparation of the Groups Investor Pack.
• Complete the Jane Hodge Foundation (JHF) monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Management of cash position, including interim dividend recommendations.
• Support cash transfers and VAT returns for the business entities
• Work closely with professional advisers to ensure corporation tax payments and returns are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Budgeting and forecasting, including ICAAP scenarios and sensitivity. Liaise with the Business Partners on inputs/assumptions used in the forecast.
• Responsible for the monthly intergroup settlements, including reconciliation and approval of internal transfers.
• Prepare the quarterly group P&L and balance sheet consolidation file.

What we need from you:

• Degree level education
• Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience with communication to senior management
• Experience is preparing Financial Statements
• Sound accounting and financial acumen
• Negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to deliver results
• Self Motivated
• Ability to work under pressure
• Commitment to high level customer service
• Understanding and awareness of economic environment
• People management
• Excellent IT skills
