The role

We’re looking for an experienced individual who can play a key role in helping us deliver world class customer service, by ensuring that our IT platforms and infrastructure continually meet the customer’s needs, along with the required level of resilience, in an environment where change is a constant.

Leading the IT Operations, Service Desk, Security operations, Service Improvement  and Devops teams you will play a crucial role in achieving our ambition through ensuring that the day-to-day service for our external and internal customers meets or exceeds their requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective risk prevention and support the change agenda in delivering a constant stream of new and enhanced capabilities, integrating IT operations seamlessly with our in house change teams and 3rd parties.

You will need to have a fantastic ability to lead a culture of service excellence and digital innovation while embodying our values of genuine empathy, trusted expertise, and bold flexibility, always looking to do the right thing for our customers.

What will your day look like?

Your key responsibilities as the Head of IT Operations will include:

  • Ensuring day to day service continues to meet or exceed the needs of our customer, both internally and externally
  • Ensuring the availability, continuity, capacity, and security of our services is proactively managed
  • Ensuring that Information Security risks are identified and effectively managed, that the required level of detection capability exists, and that response and recovery plans are defined, tested and constantly improved
  • Drive a service excellence and ethos and a culture of continuous improvement across the teams, while fostering a positive culture where the team feel aligned and engaged
  • Manage the Devops team to optimize throughput within the change space and ensure a seamless transition between the ‘Change’ and ‘Run’ capabilities
  • Manage the supply chain to deliver the same excellent level of service and availability, continuity, capacity, and security.
  • Demonstrate a constant awareness and a genuine hunger to leverage technology to improve the service to the customer along with enhanced
  • Embedding a strong risk culture through keeping up to date with the relevant regulatory and wider frameworks and regulation
