Delivery Manager – 12 month fixed term contract

We are looking for a  Delivery Manager to work with our internal teams and an offshore third party delivery partner to lead a major programme of work.  An integral role in change, you will report the Head of Change. 

With demonstrable experience in technical delivery, you will lead multiple workstreams to deliver a current, component based platform with external facing mobile and web applications.  You will create and maintain the overall plan, ensuring all goals and deliveries are met to time and quality. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead team planning with in-house teams to manage backlog and schedule work into a programme plan, with a focus on feature releases that deliver business benefit.  
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers to supply and plan work in line with their agreed processes. 
  • Liaise with third party suppliers to ensure work is delivered according to plan 
  • Ensure stories are elaborated in enough detail to inform sprint planning.  
  • Undertake sprint planning to refine and estimate stories with in-house delivery teams, and plan the work for each sprint, balancing team workload and capacity 
  • Lead daily stand-ups to manage, co-ordinate and track delivery. 
  • Identify blockers and take action to resolve them – either within the team, or by escalating to line manager.  

What we need from you: 

  • Extensive Programme and Project Management experience, ideally in a financial services organisation 
  • Technical Project Delivery experience 
  • You are passionate about collaborative working and the continuous software delivery environment 
  • Experience in developing strong stakeholder relationships, particularly with Product Owners and Senior Leaders
