Account Opening Team Leader

The role

Hodge’s ambition is to become a truly customer-centric organisation. We’re looking for an experienced individual who will play a vital role in the day to day management and development of Hodge’s Savings Account Opening Team. Reporting into the Managing Director of our Savings department.

What will your day look like?

Your key responsibilities as Account Opening Team Leader will include:

  • Play an active role in the shaping and achievement of the Savings service strategy. You will also be responsible for challenging and proposing solutions to any gaps in the strategy that create high effort experiences for our customers.
  • Work with your team to develop a smart working approach to being available for our customers. You will develop clear resource plans that enable your colleagues to get a good work / life balance but ensure that you deliver to our agreed speed to answer targets at all intervals of the working week.
  • Create a highly engaged and motivated team with a strong emphasis on listening.
  • Lead your team effectively through change, considering how the individuals in your team will react to this change. You will need to show empathy where people may find the change difficult and strong ability to sell ‘why’ we are changing, clearly linking the change to the Hodge strategic objectives.

Essential Criteria

  • Suitable Financial services qualification (CII or equivalent)
  • Strong experience of creating high colleague engagement and leading people through significant change programmes.
  • Strong coach and people developer
  • Experience of using performance management tools to drive a high-performance culture
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills Attention to detail with excellent literacy and good numerical skills.
  • Able to follow procedures and work within regulated environment.
  • Excellent Office 365 skills and a good understanding of computerised administration and workflow systems.

Desirable Criteria

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ILM5)
  • Clear experience of being involved in the delivery of transformation programmes
