Essential Experience:

  • Substantial experience in a similar role within financial services
  • Good knowledge of Real Estate Finance across all segments
  • Previous experience with Intermediary Market

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Deliver the required volume of new business opportunities to ensure the Asset balances and targeted Financial return are delivered in line with Retail Estate Finance annual targets.
  • Utilise own existing broker and introducer relationships to deliver focussed sales activity and grow defined broker market to increase adoption levels of Hodges products.
  • Proactively engage Advisers through F2F meetings, group presentations, including remote webinars and video meeting, roadshows, promoting the company’s profile products and services to achieve agreed sales goals.
  • Support advisers, establishing, maintaining, and developing relationships by providing a high-quality professional, supportive, and knowledgeable service at all times.
  • Assess New to Bank (‘NTB’) opportunities delivered through the intermediary network, providing feedback in a timeous manner and seeking to progress/win new mandates where applicable
  • Preparation and presentation to the relevant sanctioning authority of high quality credit papers in a timely manner and consistent with credit risk policy, business line parameters and sub-sector guidance metrics.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Development Team to on-board new to bank relationships smoothly and in line with agreed timescale
  • Timely and professional execution of sanctioned deal structures, scoping and managing appropriate professional advisory work as part of risk appraisal and due diligence processes, along with evaluation and feedback to sanctioning authorities.
  • Ensuring appropriate security items are taken, drawdown processes are followed correctly, conditions precedent are signed off and confirming that AML/KYC due diligence is satisfactory.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Retail Estate Finance Lending products and the wider Development and Residential Investment Market so you can provide technical support to advisers and internal stakeholders relating to queries of a complex nature and grow business volumes by creating ease of use.
  • Within parameters proactively review commercial and marketing arrangements and make recommendations to the Senior Manager, Business Development for focussed sales activity and marketing campaigns.
  • Recognise, recommend, and where appropriate implement improvements to sales development and procedures, to ensure sales targets and business competitiveness are maintained.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as and when requested by Senior Managers.
  • Continue to develop self and role by studying relevant training materials and product information.
  • Ensure that all systems-based records are correctly maintained and management information in produced in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Compliance & Risk regulatory and legislative information related to Group products and services (e.g. PRA/FCA rules, Data Protection, Money Laundering, etc.), as advised by line management.
  • Support the risk culture of the organisation by taking personal responsibility for identifying and managing risks in everything you do.
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
