Christie’s background and expertise

Background:

I joined Hodge in 2023 and look after all things savings and mortgages - from the products we create and the ways we bring them to market, to how we support our customers in the moments that matter. I've spent my entire career in financial services, starting in a role I took purely to pay the bills, I quickly discovered how many opportunities there were to grow, challenge myself and build a career – and I’ve never looked back. I've thrived on the opportunity to support and help customers fulfil their dreams and where possible to making what can be a complex and daunting process simple and clear. I’ve held roles across all areas of the industry, including senior positions at Nottingham Building Society, Glenhawk, Bank of Ireland, Kensington Mortgages and Lehman Brothers. My experience has shaped my belief in the value of listening, the importance of strong teams and the need to keep customers at the heart of everything. We do our best work when we feel supported and included and it’s also how we build real trust with our customers. Social mobility, inclusion and equality are all areas I care deeply about. I didn't come into financial services with a grand plan, and I think it's vital that we create paths for others to do the same. Outside of my life at Hodge, I’m married to David and between us we have four amazing children and a gorgeous Cavapoo. With any free time I have, I love a good walk, a new book, travelling somewhere fresh and spending time with much loved family and friends – not necessarily in that order.
