Reporting to the Head of Product Strategy, the role holder will lead the evolution of our mortgage product suite. This role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences across the mortgage journey. The role holder will provide oversight of Mortgage propositions, will refine and implement the strategic product roadmap for Mortgages, and lead a team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience of product management, preferably in financial services
 - Deep knowledge of the Mortgages market, in particular within specialist lending
 - Sound knowledge and understanding of: MCOBS, FCA and PRA regulatory frameworks
 
Key responsibilities will include:
- Own Mortgage Product Strategy and Development: Own the end-to-end strategy, development, and lifecycle management of mortgage products.
 - Define and deliver a forward-looking product roadmap aligned with business goals and market trends.
 - Lead cross-functional initiatives to launch new products and enhance existing offerings
 - Understand and monitor the competitive structure of the UK mortgage market to ensure Hodge is well positioned within it to meet its lending requirements. Bring detailed Mortgage knowledge to inform strategic and tactical decision making.
 - Monitor and own Mortgage competitor insight and market trends. Work with Pricing teams to ensure developments are incorporated into acquisition, retention and product strategy.
 - Oversee the risk management of all Mortgage products to ensure all activities are completed in line with the Product Governance Framework across the full product lifecycle.
 - Build strong relationships with colleagues across Hodge to identify customer needs and pain points across Mortgage processes and adapt the product and proposition strategy to reflect these.
 - Have a good understanding of how technology underpins the service and work with Technical Product Owners, Business Analysts, and teams to define the requirements for system change. Be the voice of the business when systems are being designed and built.
 - Lead, coach, and develop the team, ensuring that all colleagues are clear on what they must do to demonstrate competence in their roles.
 - Ensure that clear objectives are set, with regular 121 meetings in place to discuss performance and development, providing regular feedback on output and progress taking appropriate action when required.
