We are seeking a Senior Credit Risk Manager to be responsible for the first line Risk across the Mortgages department and forward flow agreements and play a pivotal role in shaping the lending strategy of the business.
Certification Regime: This role is identified as falling under a category of staff whose professional activities are deemed to have a material impact on Hodge’s risk profile under the following criteria:
Is a member of the Retail Credit Committee as well as having managerial responsibility within the Retail business that reports directly to the Retail Director.
Essential Experience
- Detailed mortgage knowledge, preferably in a specialist lender
- Strong credit risk management knowledge and experience
- Detailed knowledge of FCA principles
- Demonstrable knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Customer Centric approach, understanding identified customer target market
- Presenting executive and board level committee experience
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Key member of the Retail senior leadership team collaborating and providing guidance to colleagues on credit risk policies.
- Monitoring and reporting on Hodge’s residential mortgage portfolio at Retail Credit Committee, Executive leadership team and board.
- Development of our mortgage risk policies to allow Hodge to appropriately manage its lending risks while recognising changing customer behaviour.
- Leading and developing a team of three credit risk analysts.
- Lead credit risk analytics across Hodge’s mortgage portfolio and forward flow agreements. Hodge has forward flow agreements across Buy to Let lending and motor finance.
- Maintain a robust framework to monitor the performance of our mortgage origination.
- Provide oversight to the underwriting function through data and QA.
- To keep abreast of external economic and market conditions that could impact the business.
- Communicate complex analyses, insights and proposals clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
