Hodge funds development of 10 new build, executive homes in Nottinghamshire

9th February 2022

Hodge is delighted to have agreed a deal worth £4.14m with Ribby Ltd to fund the development of 10, new-build detached houses in Blyth, Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

The development will be built using an ICF system called Uniblock, classed as a modern method of construction. Uniblock Ltd is a manufacturer of Insulating Concrete Formwork (ICF) developed for the construction industry, and can be used in all sectors of the construction industry including residential, commercial and industrial.

Working in close collaboration with CEMEX, low carbon concrete, and Eurocell to bring the Uniblock ICF system to market, it’s also approved by a number of new home warranty providers and meets CML requirements for mortgageability.

Greg Pescott, senior development manager at Hodge, said of the development: “This development scheme is expected to generate strong interest due to its green energy credentials, location and design. The site is really attractive to families with surrounding woodland and farmland.

At a time when availability of materials is a real concern across the industry, it’s reassuring to know the development is being built using Uniblock which is manufactured in Scunthorpe and something Ribby, and its contractor, Nectobuild Ltd, are experienced in installing. We’re really excited to be supporting Ribby on this project.”
