This drives us, knowing that by helping our customers to achieve their goals, we are also helping good causes that are important to us.

We have achieved significant growth over the last few years and have ambitious plans to expand further.

We have a brand-new role in our newly formed Retail Division and are seeking an experienced professional to report directly to the Managing Director of Mortgages and be responsible for the first line Risk across the Mortgages department.

The role holder will be responsible for a full range of activities, including managing all aspects of credit and property risks and managing the monitoring of the mortgage portfolio from a credit risk and property perspective.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop our credit and property policies to allow Hodge to appropriately manage its lending risks
  • Develop and embed a robust framework to monitor the performance of our mortgage origination.
  • Develop a suite of MI to monitor all risks across the Hodge Mortgage portfolio
  • Report to Retail Credit Committee and Board on credit and property risk
  • Providing oversight to the underwriting function and through data and QA
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Retail Executive Team, working closely with the Managing Director of Mortgages, Chief Operations Officer and Head of Mortgage Origination to ensure an appropriate Retail Risk appetite and controls

Candidates must have knowledge of FCA principles and demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements.

The ability to produce and present high-quality focused material for Executive and Board level committees and to senior management is essential, along with strong communication and effective negotiation skills.

To be successful in this role you will effectively build and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels across the business and have the ability to challenge objectively.

This is an exciting role and will suit a motivated and ambitious individual who is a self-starter looking for the next step in their career.
